As part of our ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of our customers, Eclipse Scientific Group are pleased to announce the launch of a fast-track 3-working day nutritional testing service. Samples requiring a rapid Group 1, Group 2 or Meat Content analysis may, with prior arrangement, be submitted to our Chatteris Laboratory with results being available before 5:00pm on the third working day.
Outlined below is a list of FAQ’s which explains how the system operates and the mechanism by which samples can be sent to us.
This is the name given to the new rapid turnaround service Eclipse Scientific Group is offering it’s clients whereby results for basic nutritional testing will be available within three working days of receipt of samples at Chatteris (by 10.00am), subject to satisfactory quality control parameters.
• Group 1 test suites
• Group 2 test suites
• Meat content test suites
• Any of the component tests that form part of the suites above

In order for us to be able to achieve this turnaround we need to be able to log the number of samples being sent to us in advance. A simple phone call to our Customer Service Team (01354 697 028) is all it takes. We will record all your sample details and provided there is sufficient capacity to analyse the requested submission, a reference number will be verbally issued to you which will be followed immediately by an email confirmation. This reference number should then accompany the samples.
This service is offered as a premium service for clients who require results to be available as a matter of extreme urgency and carries an additional premium against our standard 5-day and 10-day nutritional testing prices. Full details are available on request from our Customer Service Team.
Eclipse Scientific Group has an unswerving commitment to quality throughout the services it offers and the 3 day turnaround service is no exception. All analyses are conducted using the same UKAS accredited procedures that are used for our standard 5 and 10 day turnarounds and all results generated are supported by our robust in-house Quality Control systems ensuring the integrity of results at all times.
Once you have been given your unique submission reference number simply include this along with the samples. This reference must then be written on our existing Analysis Request Form (ARF) and/or any other correspondence sent alongside submissions. Stating this reference on the outer packaging also assists us in speeding up the registration process once samples arrive with us.
NB. Please note that customers should not use the electronic sample registration process to register fast-track samples. The 3-day process is a separate system which can then be highlighted & tracked more easily from routine samples.
In order to be able to guarantee results for the agreed deadline (3 working days), samples must arrive at the Eclipse Scientific Group’s Chatteris Laboratory no later than 10.00am on the agreed arrival date. We will, of course, endeavour to contact you should samples not arrive with us by the agreed time. Whilst we will do our utmost to accommodate late arrivals, in such instances, final results may be delayed by one additional working day and this will depend upon current demand for the service and available capacity.
We will always endeavour to test samples over the weekend in the case of specific emergencies. In such cases, our ability to offer this service is subject to the availability of staff and would normally carry a higher premium. The precise cost would depend on the amount of work required and the labour cost associated with this work and would normally be agreed directly with the Account Manager.
