Further to our recent announcement, I am pleased to confirm that our relocation to Sittingbourne is progressing according to plan. We will be commencing water testing at our new site on Monday 8 December with food testing starting a week later on Monday 15 December. During the transition period you may receive Test Certificates from either Ashford or Sittingbourne depending on which site the analysis was started at but from the end of December all results will be reported from our new site.
Any existing arrangements for sample collections will remain unaltered and our drivers will deliver samples to either Ashford or Sittingbourne as appropriate. If you are making your own arrangements for delivery of samples to our laboratories then please send water samples to Sittingbourne from Monday 8 December and food samples to Sittingbourne from Monday 15 December. We will transfer samples between sites as appropriate during these first few weeks but from Monday 22 December all analysis will be undertaken at Sittingbourne and the Ashford site will be closed permanently from Wednesday 24 December.
The full address of our new site is as follows:

The laboratory at Sittingbourne, which we have secured on a long term tenure, is both larger and superior to the site that we currently have at Ashford and provides scope for further expansion of the services we can offer. The move to this first class facility clearly demonstrates the level of commitment that Eclipse is making to our customers, and to the levels of investment being made in the business.
It is vital that there is continuity in the services our customers receive, so I am delighted that all the current laboratory staff at the Ashford laboratory will be relocating with the business, ensuring that there is complete consistency in the testing of samples. All the methodology employed will be the same as currently used at the Ashford Laboratory and there will be complete continuity of UKAS accreditation during, and after, the transfer of the testing to Sittingbourne.
We are in the process of commissioning the facility and installing some new pieces of equipment and are aiming to relocate to Sittingbourne in the second and third weeks of December.
