LCMS technology used to detect melamine to meet legal requirements

In reaction to the recent tragic events in China and issues that are now occurring in the world food market Eclipse is able to support customers by ensuring their products are safe and compliant.

As part of the continuing commitment to method development, an analytical procedure for melamine testing in milk and milk powders is available at Eclipse Scientific Group, Chatteris.

Using extraction and analysis based on the FERN method Eclipse can quantify melamine to levels of 0.5mg/kg, complying with limits 2.5mg/kg and 1mg/kg for children under 3 and pregnant or lactating mothers.

Fast track turnarounds are available and rates for services are negotiable based on numbers of samples and service required.
