Sudan Colours

These illegal colours continue to be found in various foods eg Sudan I in palm oils, see ttp://www.food.gov.uk/enforcement/alerts/2005/oct/sudanpalm.

Eclipse routinely test for dyes of this type using LC MS techniques, which enable us to detect levels as low as 0.01 mg/kg (10 ppb).
