Latest Acquisition by Eclipse

At the beginning of October 2004, the Eclipse Scientific Group announced the acquisition of Silliker UK Limited.

Silliker’s core operations in the UK consisted of microbiology and chemistry sample testing - principally supporting the food and pharmaceutical industries - together with audit and consultancy work. The laboratory in Swadlincote, Derbyshire was formerly known as British Analytical Control and this name has been reinstated following the acquisition by Eclipse.

Julie Dedman, Managing Director of Eclipse Scientific Group, announcing the acquisition said: "This is the first of many acquisitions Eclipse will make under the new ownership, with the first one being accomplished within just over 2 months since the Management Buy Out."
